Cincinnati, OH – June 19, 2020 – Zoo’s across the world rely on ticket sales, zoo visits, and donations to operate. During the COVID-19 lockdown, The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, was closed to the public. As a result, even though their animal care team continued to provide excellent care for all the animals, there was a significant impact on their overall operating budget.
Unity Financial Life Insurance Company, Cincinnati, Ohio employees stepped up to do their part by making an important donation to the zoo’s emergency operating fund. The fund assists in the care and feeding of the zoo’s animals.
Jay Hardy, Company CEO and President said, “I am extremely proud of all our home office team members. They saw a community need and went right to work collecting donations to keep the animals well cared for.”
